gratitude (thankful)

from TheTiesThatBind.Blog

I am truly grateful for each person that reads my blog, be it 1 post or all. Thanks for taking time and hopefully learning something that will help you connect more deeply with your family.

I hope today can be a time spent with family and friends. Remembering good times and people who are no longer with us. As well as planning family reunions for the future.

Utilize the time today with your family, to learn more about them and their ancestors. Listen, record and write down stories. How long have we been making this dish? Who prepared it first? Has it changed over the years? And why? Ask younger kids if they now how they are related to everyone. What is the origin story of your family? Have you always lived where you are now? Are you nomads and move a lot? Is there a special plate or container that is used? Take photos, print them out, make a note on the back of who is in the picture, where and when it was taken. Your family years from now will thank you !

Pull out old pictures and reminisce. Reconnect the family bonds. Our families are like trees with many leaves and branches and the roots go deep and can’t always be seen. Nourish your family tree with love and time spent together.

Enjoy your time together.
