Happy Heavenly Birthday Granny!

Today I celebrate the birth of Anna Mae Bell Cox, my maternal grandmother, on what would have been her 97th birthday.  I have written before about the close relationship that I had with my beloved “Granny”.  I feel so blessed that I had such unconditional support and love in my life. I still feel the benefit of her prayers.

Anna Mae Bell was born on April 27, 1923, to Anna Neal Branham & Frank Bell, in Indianapolis, Indiana.   Anna Mae was born, raised and educated in Indianapolis. Anna Mae was the oldest of two children born to her parents. Anna Mae was blessed with two daughters, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. The youngest of whom is my Mom. She spent many years of wedded bliss with, my Grandpa,  William Ellis Cox.  She liked candles. And collected elephants and Buddha figurines. She enjoyed rummage and garage sales. Granny was a devoted Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.  She had a large number of friends and a large extended family. She died on June 12, 2008, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 85, and is entered in New Crown Cemetery beside her beloved husband “Bill”.

With Love,

Anna Mae’s Oldest Grand baby,
